ONE-LEVEL LIVING · BUYING & SELLING
A new chapter, on one level.
Leaving a home of almost 30 years is a big decision. For one senior couple, the idea of one-level living was appealing, but finding a new home, preparing their current house, and coordinating everything felt overwhelming.
My priority was to listen, make room for their questions, and help them feel comfortable with each next step. We worked through the move in manageable pieces, with a plan for both homes.
We found a home they loved and secured an accepted offer contingent on the sale of their current home. That gave us a path forward before their existing house had sold. In this transaction, the home-sale contingency helped connect the two parts of their move.
Then came the preparation: decluttering, staging, cleaning, and getting their longtime home ready to show. Once it officially went on the market, they found a buyer in less than a week. The sale and purchase came together successfully.
What began as an overwhelming change became a series of steps we could work through together—and a new home they were excited about.
What made a difference
A plan for both homes, thoughtful preparation, and steady reassurance along the way.
